We offer help to people that are homeless, have addictions or mental health problems.
We don't turn anyone away!
Due to Coronavirus we are operating differently to normal.
As of Frida 25th March we will be running out of Barking Learning Centre - Barking Library. On 25th March we will be giving takeaway to our rough sleepers only. The services are under review in-line with government guidelines to be able to support our guests. If you are housed and need support please contact BD CAN. Things are changing rapidly... but for now we carry... We will be able to issue food bank vouchers for those who are in need. Please do not just turn up. Please phone/text first on 07486312557 between 10-4 Monday to Friday only and an appointment time will be given or send a private message. Please be aware that this is currently the only number for the Source and will be busy as operational stuff is also going on. Please do not bombard this number out of hours as we need to be able to rest aswell. Thank you for your continued support. The Source was started in 2014 by Barking Churches Unite offering a meal to those in need. We also provide help in getting a place in a night shelter; signpost to relevant organisations; help the lonely and those in need of a friendly chat; provide general support for those in all situations and circumstances.
